Jerry’s Docks – 318 S Water Street & Silo Marina
At Jerry’s Docks, we provide secure dockage and land storage at our two convenient marina locations in Milwaukee. Below are answers to our most commonly asked questions regarding slip rentals, storage policies, insurance requirements, and marina access.
Where are your marinas located?
We operate two locations:
- Milwaukee River Marina – 318 S Water Street, located on the Milwaukee River
- Silo Marina – Located in the Menomonee Canal. Access via 300 S 19th Street, turn left at the stop sign, then proceed east down the long driveway to our gate.
How many boat slips do you offer?
We currently offer:
- 43 boat slips at our Milwaukee River location
- 50 boat slips at Silo Marina, which also accommodates boat and trailer storage
Availability may vary, so early reservations are recommended.
When is the boating season?
Our standard summer boating season runs from May 1 through October 30. Seasonal dockage applies within these dates unless otherwise arranged.
Do I need to pay before storing my boat?
Yes. All dock rentals and land storage fees must be paid in full before any boat, trailer, or vehicle is accepted onto the property.
What information is required to rent a slip or storage space?
All customers must complete a storage form that includes:
- Name, address, city, state, zip
- Phone number and email
- Boat name, size, make, and type
- Power type
- Boat registration number
- Insurance company information
Submission of the completed form and full payment is required before space is assigned.
Is boat insurance required?
Yes. Every boat owner must carry their own boat insurance, especially if carrying passengers.
Charter boats must:
- Provide proof of insurance
- Provide appropriate operating licenses
- Arrange passenger loading and unloading at one of Milwaukee’s public docks (not at the marina)
Is the marina responsible for damage or loss?
No. The marina is not responsible for any loss or damage to boats, trailers, vehicles, or property stored on land or in the water. Owners are responsible for maintaining proper insurance coverage.
Do you offer land storage?
Yes. We offer both seasonal and monthly land storage options. Rates are based on square footage.
- Seasonal storage is calculated per square foot for the season
- Monthly storage is available per square foot
- Summer trailer storage is available at a discounted rate with a slip rental
All winter and long-term storage items must be properly covered.
Do you offer lifting services?
Yes. We have:
- One 15-ton crane
- One 35-ton crane
Both are equipped with specialized spreaders for safe sailboat lifting. We can lift and store sailboats with the mast in place, providing added convenience for boat owners.
Is electricity available at the slips?
Yes. Electrical service is available at select slips for an additional fee.
